MM - I've never really ever liked shampoo. As a professional male/female hairdresser for many years I'm surprised we still attempt to cleanse the hair and scalp this way. It seems so primitive to literally strip the scalp of oils and nutrients it's producing for a reason. Basic science tells us oil removes oil. Why not emulsify the excess oil off the scalp as opposed to breaking it down with detergent style shampoo leaving the scalp reeling and the cuticle layer of the hair so peeled back the hair is frizzy and unmanageable for two days. The most overwhelming complaint from my male clientele was how shampoo made their hair fluffy, and how they had to wait for the natural oil to calm it back down. Realistically the answer has always been there, but we were the first to do it, because we listened. And I'm incredibly proud of it.
There’s a lot of claims out there with oils. And this one is all substance. It really does smell great. You’ll have to get used to not having suds in your hair to feel clean, but It feels great once you towel dry it. Not dry and squeaky but just normal hair you can run a comb through after a day of hats, products and exercise. I paired it with O’douds new dry texture powder for longer hair and I think i found my new ‘don’t care but really I care’ look.
