At the Pomade Shop we do more than just men's hair products & pomade. We cater to all your grooming needs, whether your a bearded man or like a clean shave, we all know the key to men's grooming is quality products. Todays focus is a valuable tool in a shaving man's arsenal, The Shaving Brush.
Why use a Shaving Brush?
Alright i'll say this, there's something just kinda cool about using a piece of equipment that has been traditionally used by men of all walks of life for centuries, whether you were a king or pauper you had one, one of my fondest memories growing up was watching my dad wet shave and me pretending to do just the same at the bathroom sink (it's his birthday today i must be feeling sentimental) . There is something special about taking the time to do this simple daily grooming task with a classic traditional razor and brush. Your plastic bic razor just doesn't feel the same does it? In todays disposable environment it just feels different to use products of quality that are, essentially timeless.

A quality shaving brush will generate a rich and warm lather by whipping air into the shaving cream or soap that you just can't achieve without one.
A shaving Brush will soften and lift your facial hair off the face ready to shave.
You will also find the heat generated to the skin by the brush will aid you during the shaving process, this will help open up pores and lubricate the skin for the optimal shaving experience.

Shaving brushes have changed and improved over their history and you'll find they are generally made from the hair of badgers or synthetic fibers.
Badger Brushes will perform well for the majority of wet shavers who like a massaging effect while preparing to shave. Traditional brushes tend to be more flexible. We stock both Muhle & Suavecito which are pure badger brushed
Sythetic Brushes have come a long way in the past few years and essentially feel as soft as a traditional brush, these brushes are vegan, and perfectly suited for men who have allergies to animal hairs. We stock The Holy Black Synthetic Brush

Tip : Keep hanging your brush upside down after every use. This will stop your brush rotting and stop the bristles falling out , will make your brush last longer.

As always please reach out for any advice you require for your grooming requirements.
